AFC North Decider: Steelers Edge Ravens in a Week 18 Thriller
The rivalry between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers added another classic chapter to its history. With the AFC North crown on the line, every yard mattered in this high-stakes encounter at Acrisure Stadium.
Early Fireworks and Defensive Stands

The Ravens wasted no time making an impact. On the very first play, Derrick Henry exploded through the line for a massive gain into Steelers territory. Although a controversial blindside block penalty backed them up, the tone was set. Lamar Jackson capitalized shortly after, finding Devonte Walker for a deep touchdown pass to take an early lead.
The Steelers’ defense, led by Nick Herbig, responded by putting immense pressure on Jackson, including a crucial first-half sack. Pittsburgh’s offense, led by veteran Aaron Rodgers, began to find its rhythm with Chris Boswell drilling a staggering 57-yard field goal to keep the score close.
The Tide Turns: Interceptions and Lead Changes

The second half saw the intensity ramp up. The Steelers took their first lead after a gritty drive culminated in a Connor Hayward touchdown run. Minutes later, the stadium erupted when TJ Watt intercepted a deflected Lamar Jackson pass, giving Pittsburgh all the momentum.
However, the Ravens refused to back down. Lamar Jackson escaped a collapsing pocket on a critical third-and-four and launched a “home run” ball to Zay Flowers for a stunning touchdown.
A Final Quarter for the Ages

The fourth quarter was a whirlwind of scoring. Kenneth Gainwell put the Steelers back on top with a tough two-yard scoring run, only for Jackson to find a wide-open Zay Flowers once again for his second touchdown of the night, reclaiming a 28-24 lead for Baltimore.
With the clock winding down, Aaron Rodgers showed why he is a future Hall of Famer. He orchestrated a masterclass drive, finishing with a touchdown pass to Calvin Austin to put Pittsburgh up by two points. In a shocking twist, the usually reliable Chris Boswell missed the ensuing extra point, leaving the door open for a Ravens field goal to win it.
The Final Stand
With no timeouts and just over a minute left, Lamar Jackson led the Ravens down the field. A clutch 4th-and-7 catch by Isaiah Likely kept the drive alive and put Baltimore in field goal range. With the division title on the line, Ravens kicker Tyler Loop lined up for a 44-yard attempt. The kick sailed wide right as time expired, sparking a wild celebration in Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are officially the 2025 AFC North Champions.
